Shelly Mitchell Lynch represents the fourth generation of the Mitchell Family to sell, invest and manage real estate in Carmel and on the Monterey Peninsula. Together with her parents Bill and Vicki Mitchell, Shelly proudly continues the family tradition in the local real estate business.

Graduate of Stanford University (BA1989), Shelly has 25+ years of marketing and sales experience in the technology (Xerox), biotech (Chiron) and entertainment (ABC/Walt Disney Co.) industries for Fortune 500 companies.

When The Mitchell Family sold their 40-year old, billion dollar real estate company, The Mitchell Group, to Sotheby’s International Realty in 2005, Shelly wanted to stay a local business owner and, together with her husband, bought Carmel Realty Company, Carmel’s premier property management and rental business. At the helm of Carmel Realty Company, and as one of the top sales teams in the market, Shelly’s network, knowledge and inside track on properties gives her clients the critical edge required in today’s market. The synergy of Shelly’s local exposure to investments and sales, her insight to inside knowledge of off market properties, rentals and her global Luxury Real Estate network puts Shelly at the pulse of the real estate community.

Lynn Knoop, a native of San Francisco and the Monterey Peninsula, has been one of the top selling agents in Carmel and Pebble Beach since 1996. Vicki Mitchell has been a licensed real estate agent for 40 years. She has always specialized in luxury residential properties. In her early years of real estate, Vicki was as a top producer in the Atherton and Menlo Park markets. In later years, her expertise has been focused entirely on the Carmel and Pebble Beach markets.  Her professional and social relationships in both of these areas have served her and her clientele well. Vicki brings an extensive amount of experience and market knowledge to her clients based on over 40 years in the real estate market. Bill Mitchell has been a licensed California Real Estate Broker since 1974.

In 1975 he founded The Mitchell Group Real Estate, Inc. As Chairman and Owner/Broker, he built the firm to become the largest independently owned real estate business in Monterey County, with 5 offices and 140 agents, specializing in high-end properties. He sold the firm to Sotheby’s International Realty in 2005. Subsequently Bill joined with his family as BROKER | Managing Director at Carmel Realty.

For over 40 years, Bill has actively participated as a broker and/or principal in all aspects of the real estate profession, including commercial and residential sales, investments, exchanges, partnerships, management, development, appraisals, consulting and as an expert witness.

Bill and Vicki, his wife of over 50 years, are proven, experienced experts in the local market. They were recently honored by "Who's Who in Luxury Real Estate" for having sold over a billion dollars in real estate as well as the Luxury Real Estate Lifetime Achievement Award. 

Bill’s family has been involved in the real estate business on the Monterey Peninsula for four generations.
